GODHA WEBSITE |
|
|
The GODHA website has a new look! We plan on using it as our main source of information available to members, non-members and the profession.
The SUB LIST will now be posted exclusively on the website under the tab for "Employment". We will be faxing a notice to the area dental offices letting them know this information will be on the website. Hopefully this will encourage more visits to our website. The list will be updated monthly. If you want to remain on the list you must contact Jo-Ann Losito by the 1st of each month, otherwise your name will be taken off.
If you are looking for a permanent position, visit www.Dentaljobs.net to post your resume.
Check out the photo gallery, calendar, events, volunteer opportunities etc... any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Greetings!
Thank you all for a great kick off meeting. We had a large attendance and hopefully learned some new ways to teach oral health. The sugar presentation was fascinating! Thank you so much Debi for the useful information.
There will not be a regular meeting in October due to the FDHA symposium. Hopefully, everyone who wishes to attend has registered. We are looking forward to the President's Function honoring Paula Schad. Although we have worked hard planning her night, it does not compare to the amount of hours Paula has spent working for all us in FDHA.
We are trying to put together something with the HOPE Foundation in December in lieu of a holiday gathering. Please stay in touch through our website as additional details become available.
If anyone knows of a topic or speaker for CEU's, please contact myself, any other members of the board or Jo-Ann Losito. It is very difficult finding "new" topics, speakers, etc. We need to branch out with new ideas! Thanks to all for your continued support. Please remember our charitable foundation and bring any non-perishable food items to any of our gatherings. Also, any old cell phones/chargers from friends and family will be accepted.

NEW RULES ADOPTED FOR HYGIENE BOARD EXAM |
|
|
The Board of Dentistry adopted new rules for the dental hygiene board exam to take effect in June, 2010. The exam will focus on surfaces, not the entire mouth. The exam will include testing on probing, and radiographs will be examined for diagnostic quality. There will be two dental hygiene examiners and one dentist on the panel checking applicants out. There is no change at this time for the examiners checking applicants in. |
