Greetings!
Congratulations to our new slate of officers for 2010-2011. We look forward to your leadership and dedication to our professional organization. Another congratulations to the Valencia Dental Hygiene Class of 2010. Best of luck as you proceed with the Dental Hygiene Board Exam in June.The newly pinned graduates were given special graduation cards which included a $10 gift card to Uniform City courtesy of GODHA.
Mark your calendars for our annual planning session which has been scheduled for Saturday July 10, 9:00am @ Panera Bread Fashion Square Mall.
The planning session is open to all members. It is your chance to assist in putting together the monthly meetings as well as selecting committee chairpersons.
Hope everyone has a safe Memorial Day and does not forget the importance of this day.

NEWS FROM AMERICA'S TOOTH FAIRY
The makers of LISTERINE® Antiseptic introduce "This Is Your Mouth," a new documentary narrated by award-winning actor Neil Patrick Harris (CBS' How I Met Your Mother) that takes viewers on a journey inside the mouth and examines the potential effects of the millions of bacteria that dwell there. We are thrilled that each viewing will benefit America's Toothfairy® in support of our goal to eliminate children's preventable suffering from pediatric dental disease...because every child deserves a healthy smile®.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS
SPECIAL SMILES volunteers saw 358 athletes for oral screenings and applied fluoride varnish to 320 of those seen. The Florida Special Olympics Summer Games were held May 14-15 at ESPN Wide World of Sports. Twenty hygienists, two dentists and students came from all over the state to participate in this event. Thanks to all our central Florida hygienists who gave their time and talent !
