ADHA MEMBERSHIP
The good news is that the American Dental Hygienists Association has reinstated the quarterly dues installment. What does this mean? Instead of having to pay your total dues of $250 per year at one time, you can break the payments into quarterly installment. The cost of membership which protects your profession, gives you reduced insurance cost, reduced CE cost (just to name a few)
is less than $1.00 a DAY. Just in the past two years, FDHA (which is a component of ADHA) has fought the Board of Dentistry and won to prevent preceptorship in Florida. We have fought to remove the supervision restrictions placed on how and where we practice. These are things that affect each one of us. We still have many other obstacles facing our profession. I know times are tough but please consider becoming a member of YOUR professional association. You won't regret it. |

The Central Florida Dental Outreach was held again this year on November 7th and 8th. Dr. Andrew Greenberg was very generous to donate the use of his 21 operatory, West Orlando office, and many of the supplies needed for the dental outreach. Over 200 uninsured individuals in the Central Florida area had dental treatment totaling $185,000 in dental services. These services included prophys or debridements, fillings, extractions, and restorations.
